Swipes are the first power move I learned. They are kind of like a sideways cartwheel. When you do a cartwheel you transfer your body weight from your legs, to each arm individually, and then both arms together.
Not only is this is one of the best ways to generate power from a kick but you can do this move on any floor without getting your clothes dirty.
You start this move with the classic b-boy power kick.
Once your in the air...
Place your right foot on the ground keeping your left leg and hips even or above your knee.
Lift your left hand and throw it over your chest(You will look like a one-armed ,one-legged crab stance with your back arched and your left leg extended)
Swing your left leg up in front of your right knee and towards the sky
Throw your right hand over your chest (this is where you have no balance) (You will look like a one legged crab with both hands off the ground)
Jump your right leg
Land both hands
You should be in a high planche for one second as you untwist your legs in mid air
Place your right foot on the ground
Repeat
There are two common versions of this move. Using one leg or two legs. Doing this move with only one leg requires a little more skill but is worth the extra time involved.
Most people never get the motion down because they can not get over the sensation of having no balance in mid air. Remember to kick hard and throw your body weight with your arms and you will have this move in know time.
