Hip Hop Holiday

Holidays can be one of the best times to throw your Cleveland hip hop event. The good news is almost everywhere will have a crowd because everybody loves a day off. The key is to make sure you are one of those places.

Do Your Homework…

Certain days will have stiff competition including multiple national headliner shows. This includes huge events that have been going on for years. So some days will be more competitive and require you to set your price accordingly.

If you have enough people that come to your shows on a regular basis you should be fine. I would not recommend a new years eve show for a new promoter.

Here is a list to help you decide if a holiday show date is right for you.

  • January 1 - New Year's Day

  • February 14 - Valentine's Day

  • Second Sunday in March- Daylight Saving Time begins

  • March 17 - Saint Patrick's Day

  • April 1 - April Fool's Day

  • April 22 - Earth Day

  • Last Monday in May - Memorial Day

  • July 4 - Independence Day

  • First Monday in September - Labor Day

  • Second Monday in October - Columbus Day

  • October 12 - Columbus Day

  • October 21 - Sweet Heart Day

  • October 31 - Halloween

  • First Sunday in November - Daylight Savings Time ends

  • November 11 - Veterans' Day

  • Fourth Thursday of November - Thanksgiving Day

  • December 24 - Christmas Eve Day

  • December 25 - Christmas Day

  • December 26 - Christmas Day (federal observed)

If you are ready to move on you should also consider throwing a weekly.
