As the name implies a headspin is when you spin on your head. To do this move you must be able to balance on your head while spinning and holding your body weight up.
When learning this move it is important you do not sit on your head for to long before you spin, without the momentum of the spin your entire body's weight is resting on your shoulder an neck muscles.
How to Headspin
Start on Your Knees
Place Your Hands and Your Head on The Ground
Lift Your Legs Off the Ground(You should try to balance on the center of your head, but use what feels the most comfortable to you)
Make Sure Your Neck and Back are Stiff
Adjust Your Legs to a Comfortable Position
Balance
You want to start off by walking yourself around in a circle until you fell comfortable with ten rotations. Once you feel comfortable walking in a circle you are ready to start trying to time your hand taps. Start off by breaking each rotation into four taps. Once you have that try three taps, then two taps.
This will also help you get used to spinning with out using your hands or glides. Once you can successfully do one rotation with one tap continuously, you will notice you will start gaining speed.
You are now ready to glide. A glide is a full rotation with-out using your hands to catch your body. You want to keep your momentum by keeping your legs locked above your hips.
Once you have these basics down you will be ready to start kicking with your legs. Most people will reach ahead of their tap and kick their legs to catch up. This is very difficult if not impossible to learn if you have not taken the time to master the basic steps above.
