Cleveland does its thing when it comes to Graff writers. As you probably guessed I am going to take you around town and plug you into the scene so you can start making an impact.
Graff or tagging like all the elements of hip hop can be a great form of expression. You can take a run down useless area, like an abandoned bridge over pass, and breath new life into it. Now you have the Smithsonian of Graff...
Graff like all forms of hip hop has many myths surrounding it and since I feel obligated to enlighten the masses and bless you with the truth I will shatter a couple of these myths.
The first myth worth destroying once and for all is the age old classic...
"Graff is Gang Related"
Graff is not gang related unless the individual writing the Graff is gang related. For example:
If I wear a red jump suit this morning to break, that does not make me a Blood or gang related by any means, but if Suge Knight wears the same fit (probably a little bigger) it will carry a different meaning. It is all relevant to an individuals circumstances.
Just like wearing your pro model tipped or matching shoe laces does not automatically make you in a gang. Now, if you are already in a gang, then yes, everything mention is gang related.
A lot of wack people would like to say that graffiti is a major problem in the city. I would have to disagree and say vandalism is the major problem. Graff is not and should never be confused with vandalism.
You will see that there are plenty of places to put your pieces that will let people admire them and not destroy anyone's personal property. I definitely do not condone any behavior against the law and probably should mention I can not be held liable in any way, shape, or form for your actions.
In other word if you get arrested while doing a wildstyle whole car ...that’s on you.
So many different techniques and styles, I will have to introduce you to some local legends to get their insider tips. You will be tagging like a pro in no time.
I would like to take this moment to introduce you to one of Cleveland's finest - Mr. Noneofyourbusiness(Applause). He is going to take you through some things you should know before you get writing...
