Door Tax...Entry costs
You are getting ready to consider your Cleveland hip hop shows entry costs. I always preferred throwing a free event. Obviously, this is not always possible. So how much is to much?... You do not want to overcharge because you can price your self right out of the competition. You have to research what else is going on that day that may be the same price or less. Do not forget to take into account how big your VIP guest list is and how much money you promised your investors. I like to think how much I would pay to get in the event. In other words how much is your event worth. Will their be any national headliners or will it be all local performers. I also consider how long the event is, the venue it is at, and what day the event is on. If an event sounds nice enough I would pay anything to get in. You will definitely need to know the minimum amount of people you need to meet expenses at your entry price level. This equation will help you figure out what the entry cost should be.
